CAMLOCK

A Camlock is one of the simplest lock fastenings. Essentially, a metal plate, the cam, is fixed to the core of the locks and is turned as the key rotates. This movement, normally through 90 or 180 degrees is used to restrain movement of a door or flap directly, manage mechanical linkages or work independently mounted switches. You must make the right choice of lock type and correct installation is essential in bolstering the locks own integral strength. The type of lock needed is invariably determined by the available space and the loads forced on the locks. The Camlock is the most commonly used in industrial applications.
